I was looking for a pointy tipped metal scissors to trim my split ends that's is high quality yet not expensive. I am very glad I got these.  These feel sturdy like a professional tool, and cuts hair nicely. Also the long pointy tip is perfect for point-cutting ends of hair to give a layered look. These also cut well straight, if you are looking to get a blunt cut.  If you want to give a nice trim to your split ends or give your kids a good haircut, don't use scissors you have been using to cut paper. They won't give a nice cut. Just invest in these scissors and you will notice a better cut. I am satisfied.

I am not a professional, just a mom who cuts her three year old sons' hair. These are soooo much better than the pair that came with the electric clippers. The boys, at three, are major moving targets, these are sharp enough to do the job but not so sharp I'm slicing us up in the process.
