    Description

    This is an antique 'chicken waterer' top made of thick, clear glass. Manufactured in nearby Indianapolis, these are found in the barns of many local farms and some are still in use. They can be used with a matching glass base, or later ones that are made of early plastics. The mouth opening is standard 4 inches in diameter and screws on to a base, then inverted. The brand name 'SANA FOUNT' is embossed in the center part of the vessel where the circumference is approx 28 inches. It is a large piece of glass weighing almost 3 pounds. This one is clean, no chips or cracks. Original condition ready to be used.
