BULKHEAD COMPACTOR 21 TON UNUSED

Description

What you are getting is the compactor only, no hydraulic power supply.
You can build your own to run it. The other one I have listed is complete.
It cost so much to update the the controls it would be cheaper to just build one from scratch
or modify something you have. It could be really simple like a power supply to run a log splitter
manual valve and all.
The Navy used these on ships for super compacting.
Built in 1985 it is still in the factory crate. NOS may be a stretch.
It makes a slug 14 1/2" long and 13 7/8" diameter.
With the ram retracted you can place a object up to 20" long in the chamber.
System pressure is 1500 psi with the 6" diameter cylinder you get 21 tons force.
The hydraulic cylinder seals gave out after 10 minutes of running on the unit I setup.
Figure you will have to replace them on this one also. I think it was just o-rings.
The compactor is 8' long and 50" tall, its still in the original crate.
