Handcrafted Custom Round Leather Celtic Belt Pouch in Mahogany

Description

This is a round leather belt pouch dyed in an Antique Mahogany. Thinking of those who enjoy dressing up in costume for Renaissance Festivals and other medieval gatherings, I tooled the front and flap with Celtic designs on this particular pouch. However, if you desire something different, I can make a custom pouch for you. Options include tooling patterns, place of tooling, and dye color.
This pouch is approximately 6 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches tall and has a 1 1/4 inch gusset, making it a nice bag to place things you need to carry like phones, cigarettes, money, etc. The belt loop on the back is made to accept up to a 3 1/2 inch wide belt.
These bags are custom made, not a kit. I cut the pieces from 3mm thick double milled leather. This leather will soften over time and with use. It is thick enough to last a long time. I dye the insides as well so you have a nice finished product that you can show off with pride.
After tooling and dying, I hand stitch each pouch using a saddle stitch and nice waxed thread.. This stitch results in a strong construction.
Trying to keep the pouch appearance as though it belonged back in Medieval times, I used a leather thong and leather covered button as the closure. To open the pouch, simply lift up on the flap near the button and slip thong loop off of the button. To close, slip the thong over the button and pull down on the thong.
