The Vincent Series KP Screw Press is quickly becoming the go-to technology for the separation of shell from inedible egg. Its simplicity of design and lack of high speed components make the KP press much more reliable and less costly to operate than a centrifuge.
The Series KP Screw Press is a machine in which a screw of progressively reducing pitch rotates inside a cylindrical screen. Material entering the hopper is subjected to gradually increasing pressure as it moves toward the exit end of the press, forcing the liquid egg to extrude through the screen. Pressing is controlled by a discharge door that provides easy adjustment of shell moisture content. Stainless steel construction of liquid contact parts is standard and NEMA or IEC motors are available. The graduated pitch, interrupted flight screw design prevents jamming, while Class II gearbox selection assures long life. 0.010” slotted screens are standard.
Vincent Corporation has been building the finest screw presses in the world since the 1950's. In the last several years we have placed nearly 180 screw presses into this application.
The press featured here is capable of handling shell from a breaking plant running up to 250 cases per hour. Alternatively it can handle up to seven “blue barrels” per hour. Larger presses are available, with the largest capable of 2500 cases or 80 barrels per hour. Call for full data, specs and application knowledge.
These are professionally engineered presses built in the U.S.A. by a team of 70 talented designers, engineers, machinists and welders.
A full operational warranty is part of the deal. All screw presses custom built to order, but we may have a unit immediately available, depending on status.
