LOUDSOUND SAFETY ALARM
A personal alarm providing safety, protection and peace-of-mind.
Protection experts and law enforcement agencies worldwide all agree. People, especially women and children, should possess some form of personal protection with them at all times. The Loudsound Personal Alarm provides that security with a roaring 130 decibel ear-piercing, attention- getting sound similar to a smoke and/or fire detector going off, except louder. An average gasoline-powered lawnmower noise level is about 90 decibels. A police siren is in the 110-120 decibel range.
When the pin at the top of the LoudSound Safety Alarm is pulled out , the potentially life-saving noise will attract the attention of any other people within a 100 yard radius or more.
The LoudSound Personal Alarm is very simple to operate and can be used by anyone regardless of age or physical ability, even young children and the elderly. Simply pull out the pin at the top of the alarm and the loud 130 decibel noise will scare away any would-be attackers and/or thieves. The sound will continue for up to 30 minutes or until the pin is put back into the alarm. The alarm can be used over and over again.
Personal alarms like the LoudSound have been proven to be more effective than Mace or pepper spray as a defense tool. In addition, they can attract attention in case of an emergency, especially among senior citizens, in case of a fall and those with a physical disability or those who might have gotten lost in a remote area.
The LoudSound Safety Alarm is the ideal defensive tool to discourage or prevent kidnappings and abductions of children and teenagers.
The lightweight, less than one ounce and unique shape of the LoudSound Safety Alarm makes it very easy to hold and it is easily attached to keys, purses, backpacks, belts and many other items. There is no button on its' side which can be easily depressed and cause the alarm to go off accidentally.
The LoudSound Safety Alarm is powered by a 12 volt, 23 amp, cylindrical shape battery. Each alarm is shipped with a full charge. To test the battery strength periodically, just pull out the pin on the top of the alarm and re-insert the pin quickly. If the battery strength seems low indicated by a less than very loud sound, then the battery should be replaced. When testing the battery, be sure no children or animals are near or any adults who may be startled by the loud noise.
To replace the battery, obtain a small Philips head screwdriver and remove the two small screws on the back of the alarm, then gently pry the two sides of the alarm apart. Sometimes, a small knife blade is useful in separating the two halves. Remove the old battery and replace it with the new one. Be sure the negative (-)end of the battery goes against the longest spring with the letters GND below it. Replace the backside. Note the groove on the top goes around the pin housing. Replace the two small screws and tighten them securely. Pull the pin at the top out to test the battery and re-insert the pin immediately.
This type battery is very common and not expensive, usually .00 - 3.00 at Home Depot and many other stores.
