Solidly made, arrived in perfect condition. Easy to install except that it does not fit around my door latch, so I had to make a wood shim. That is, the sides of this door insert are smooth and well-finished, so there was no way to insert my door latch into the frame, so there was about an inch gap between the pet door and the frame. I made a wooden shim for and it was fine. Please remember that if your cat is spending more time outside, especially at night, they are also more at risk. Mine was hit by a car and killed a week after I installed this door. I knew the risk, but I didn't really expect it to happen so quickly (my previous cat lived to 19). I'm keeping the door for my next cat, and I'll be sure to keep the next one in at night.

This pet door was easy to setup and the cats started using it the same day. Only issue encountered was making sure the pet door was fully sealed and having to create an extra cutout for the screen door to lock onto the pet door. So be aware that you may need some extra tools to finish it out.

This has honestly been a godsend. Its amazing how well the aluminum matches and fits our vintage aluminum slider. We've had a puppy for a few years, and having to open and close the slider constantly to let the dog out was such an inconvenience. We also live close to a farm, so flies would always come into the house. Not only is it an ingenious design, it fits perfectly, it feels secure, my dog took to it right away, and we're not longer dealing with flies coming into the house. I highly recommend!
