Description
Hello! Here we have soft copies of old and current process control equipment made by Metco, going back to the 60's and 70's. Most of this equipment is no longer supported by Metco; however some parts were carried over to newer equipment and are still available. At least knowing the Metco part number, you can have an intelligent conversation to try and locate a modern replacement part. 7MC and 7MC-II manuals include the parts list, wiring diagrams and schematic, as that was the old format. Newer manuals are separate from parts list and schematics. I do not have EVERY file for every piece of equipment unfortunately.
Note you are purchasing one download file
, which I will send to your PayPal confirmed Email address, as a .PDF. Some very old files are scans of original printed documents (so the quality is not razor sharp), while newer ones are original soft files. I will add additional files as I find them. Files are stored on a drive at work, so weekend / holiday orders will go out the following work day.
Let me know which file(s) you want based on the photos in the listing; increase the quantity to cover all required documents, and increase the quantity of your order to include the number (so you get the discount).
EXAMPLE:
"I need the DJC manual and the DJC parts list." That is two files, so increase order quantity to two, and explain in the payment notes which files you need. You will get a 5% discount on two files automatically. Three or more files get a 10% discount; four or more files get a 20% discount. Nice eh?
I also have
unique documents
(created by me) detailing currently available replacements for the 7MC / 7MC-II console parts which are no longer supported by Metco, which includes some (hand!) drawings of 7MC-II water distribution tubes which fail with age and are not available
at all
from Metco. The newest 7MC-II consoles are 20 years old and all will need these tubes sooner or later. (
NOTE:
the 7MC-II was designed to support plasma guns with two nozzle, and two electrode hoses, which necessitated these plastic, o-ring sealed interconnect tubes in the distribution unit. The original 7MC does not use them, since it only supports two-hose plasma guns).
These tubes are not even shown on the 7MC-II parts list!!
Nobody uses these 4-hose guns (I've never seen them used), but regardless, you need to have these plastic tubes in place, or the cooling water will be all over the floor!
I have also created upgrades and interface modules to operate Plasmadyne / Miller / Praxair rotary feeders with the 7MC/7MC-II console; Parts list to upgrade the 7MC/7MC-II to digital amp and volt display, and finally, a mass flow meter (not a mass flow controller mind you) upgrade parts list for the 7MC-7MC-II which I will have a separate listing for. Although not built yet, all parts are there as well as instructions for implementation. Surprisingly affordable upgrade. Contact me if you need this right away. This elevates the 7MC gas control
above
the 9MC.
The 7MC and 7MC-II also support minor integration with robotics or other external controllers. Robots can easily turn the power feed on and off as well as e-stop the console if needed. I am unsure if the consoles, in "automatic mode", could be controlled by the robot to light the gun, ramp up and spray parts, because I am not aware of anyone using the 7MC variants in "automatic mode"... If you need this functionality, please contact me, and I'll do my best to help.
33 years in thermal spray (so far); a good bit of that working at Metco. Let me know how I can help you.
