Polish Pottery "Flowering Peacock" Tall Pasta Canister Jar with Lid - Pre-owned

An absolutely beautiful Polish Pottery tall canister jar in the Flowering Peacock pattern - previously owned.  This piece is still in wonderful undamaged condition - no chips, nicks or cracks.
The jar is authentic Polish stoneware and I believe somewhat rare when it comes to Polish Pottery canister jars, because it stands a little shy of 12-3/4" tall, not including the lid.  The top opening measures approximately 4" wide.  It is 4-3/4" wide at the bottom and weighs 4 lbs 11 oz.  It's perfect for storing any kind of pasta, but particularly the longer types (spaghetti, fettucine, lasagne, etc.)  As you can see from the photos, the jar has nice big handles that make it easy to carry from one place to another.  Contains no lead or cadmium.  Although it is dishwasher safe, I have never put it in the dishwasher and have only hand washed it.  Please forgive any camera glare in the photos.
If you're in the market for an attractive and useful piece of Polish Pottery, this is one piece I think you'll be extremely pleased with.  I bought this brand new quite a few years ago and have taken great care of it.  This jar has been one of my favorite pieces of Polish Pottery.  I don't think you'll find another jar this tall on the various websites (including ebay and Amazon).  I would not be selling it, but I'm planning to move out of the country next year and unfortunately can't take it with me, so here's your chance to own a piece of Polish Pottery that you will enjoy using for years to come.  And it makes a wonderful display piece!
