    Description

Red Beryl is among the rarest minerals on Earth.
    Sometimes referred to as
    Bixbite
    or
    Red Emerald
    ,
    Red Beryl
receives its coveted violet-red coloration from trace amounts of manganese, iron, chromium, and calcium in the crystals' molecular structure. The Wah Wah Mountain Range of Utah, USA is the only location on Earth where gem-quality Red Beryl has been mined. Large-scale commercial mining was attempted but failed toward the end of the 20th century, due to this mineral's extreme scarcity. Since then, mining has proceeded only on a very small scale.
This parcel is of gem quality
    ,
displaying a fine lustre, deep saturation, and good clarity. It
has never been treated, never been oiled.
