Create beautiful leather jewelry with Sizzix Leather Strips. Designed to work with Sizzix thick dies: Originals, Bigz and Movers & Shapers Magnetic Dies, these pre-cut strips create less waste — each piece can be used to create multiple base and overlay pieces. The genuine cowhide leather is ideally weighted (1.8 mm thick) as a sturdy base for jewelry-making projects. (The Denim color strip is lambskin.) The leather strips measure 3" × 9 1/8" and come in a variety of colors.  Here's some of what you can do with this material:
Emboss it - beautiful deep embossing
Shape it - bends where you want it to go (think flower petals)
Sew it - oh, the wonderful, durable gifts to be made (applique, coin purse, key holder)
Ink it - Any kind of ink using stamps, stencils or ink transfer sheets (REALLY beautiful)
Stain it - spray stains, distress sprays, gels
Paint it - pastel paints are beautiful, but it's a perfect surface for any paint/paint pens
Sand/distress it - best way to remove smoothness or adjust an embossed image
Collage it - fun to mix with other textures
Foil it - so beautiful!
