This is an AMAZING piece
includes the Signatures of six different U.S. Amateur Champions
Ouimet, Gardner, Sweetster, Marston, Johnston, Herron, Etc
According to the Emerson/Gilchrist guide to Golf Collectibles,
There are no known examples of S. Davidson Herron (until now).
Herron won the Amateur at Oakmont in 1919.
This as just the second Walker cup and it was played at The Old Course.
The U.S. won 6-5.
Bobby Jones was not on this team.
He won his first of five U.S. Amateurs the following year and was on the 1924, 1926, 1928 and 1930 Walker teams
Rough on the edges but still in great condition - Very cool piece.
This is a piece of paper (about 6.5" x 7.25") glued on a paper board (7" x 8.5").
The Harrison Johnson autograph was on a separate small piece of paper and then adhered to the larger piece of paper.
